Shiv Sena Factions Brace for Parliamentary Defections

Seven MPs from the Shiv Sena (UBT) faction are reportedly on the verge of defecting to the rival Eknath Shinde-led camp. MLC Krupal Tumane confirmed that these negotiations, dubbed 'Operation Tiger,' have reached an advanced stage, with the transition expected to materialize before the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament.

Tumane likened the political maneuver to a medical procedure, noting that preliminary discussions are complete and the group now awaits a final date for the switch. He claims the deliberations have been ongoing for weeks, signaling a potential shift in the party's legislative numbers.

Sanjay Raut, representing the Shiv Sena (UBT), dismissed the reports as baseless speculation. He maintained that the party remains united and launched a counter-effort titled 'Operation Wolf' to secure the loyalty of his remaining members. The competing operations highlight the deepening rift within the organization as both sides struggle to consolidate their parliamentary influence ahead of the session.
