Navnit Ravi Rana praises PM Modi following Uzbekistan state honour

“If every single country in the world were to present an award to PM Modi, no one should be surprised, because he deserves far more than that,” BJP leader Navnit Ravi Rana said in Pune. Her remarks follow Prime Minister Narendra Modi receiving Uzbekistan’s highest state honour from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Rana characterized the Prime Minister as a global first responder, noting his consistent presence during international crises. She argued that the growing number of foreign accolades reflects his expanding influence on the world stage, suggesting these honors are a natural consequence of his diplomatic efforts.

During his two-day state visit, Prime Minister Modi accepted the award, emphasizing that the recognition belongs to India’s 1.4 billion citizens and its ancient heritage rather than himself. He described the gesture as a reflection of the deep-rooted friendship, or Dostlik, between the two nations. In his address to President Mirziyoyev, Modi highlighted their shared commitment to the welfare of the Global South and expressed his appreciation for the hospitality extended throughout his visit to Uzbekistan.
