Himachal Civil Supplies Corporation Donates Rs 1 Crore to Relief Fund

A one-crore rupee contribution reached the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister’s Relief Fund on Wednesday, as the State Civil Supplies Corporation delivered the donation during an official ceremony in Shimla. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu accepted the cheque, emphasizing how such financial support provides vital assistance to citizens facing severe distress.

Vice Chairman Vishal Chambyal presented the funds alongside senior officials, including Chief Secretary KK Pant and Managing Director Rajeshwar Goel. The Chief Minister encouraged further public generosity to bolster the state's capacity for emergency aid.

Beyond the donation, political tensions flared as Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi challenged the opposition BJP regarding recent legislative disruptions. Negi dismissed claims centered on Assembly video footage, arguing that the technical limitations of broadcast cameras mean interruptions often go unrecorded. He accused the opposition of manipulating the narrative surrounding the National Anthem and Vande Mataram controversy to mislead the public, insisting that the full context of the proceedings must be scrutinized rather than selective clips.
