He further asserted that the government ignored clear warnings regarding the El Nino effect, failing to distribute seeds for alternative crops to mitigate the impact of the lack of rain.

Beyond the environmental crisis, the political friction between the two leaders has intensified over the issue of reservations for Backward Classes (BC). Jagan dismissed the current government's initiatives as theatrical, claiming that Naidu’s administration sabotaged previous efforts through judicial challenges while simultaneously posturing as a champion of the community. He contrasted this with his own tenure, where he allocated 40 percent of cabinet positions to BC representatives, positioning his party as the only genuine advocate for their advancement.
