Siddaramaiah emphasized that his advocacy for the reservation system is a lifelong commitment rather than a political convenience. He recalled his administration’s legislative milestones, including the SCSP/TSP Act, which significantly increased welfare funding from 8,000 crore to 44,636 crore rupees.
The former Chief Minister criticized the current confusion surrounding internal reservation, promising to consult with Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to finalize the implementation of the Nagamohan Das Committee recommendations. He pointed to his previous efforts, such as securing reservation in promotions, as evidence of his dedication to the marginalized. Siddaramaiah warned his supporters against internal fragmentation, urging them to remain united against those who benefit from social inequality. He reaffirmed his intention to stay active in politics to ensure the chariot of social justice continues to move forward.
