Jagan Mohan Reddy rallies YSRCP for local body election push

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed YSRCP cadres to intensify their ground presence, framing the upcoming local body polls as a pivotal test against the ruling coalition’s alleged failures and warning that the party must contest every seat to prevent electoral manipulation.

Addressing party leaders and assembly constituency incharges, Reddy argued that mounting public frustration with the Chandrababu Naidu-led government will inevitably shift toward YSRCP in the ballot box. He emphasized that the party must abandon any internal ego and operate as a unified force, specifically tasking MLA aspirants with ensuring competitive, rather than unanimous, electoral outcomes.

The YSRCP strategy involves a granular campaign approach: door-to-door outreach, the distribution of QR-coded identity cards to village-level workers, and the deployment of the Jagan 2.0 App for better mobilization. Reddy mandated that party leadership remain stationed in their respective constituencies for the next two months to counter what he described as the coalition's misuse of state machinery. Furthermore, he signaled that the party’s legal and media wings must remain aggressive in documenting official misconduct, specifically warning police personnel that any overreach would be recorded for future accountability.
