Legislators Kumbha Ravibabu, Bommu Israel, Isaq Basha, Varudu Kalyani, and Kalpalatha Reddy held a press conference at the Assembly Media Point to voice their grievances. They accused the current administration of avoiding legislative debate on the scandal and formally called for the resignation of Education Minister Nara Lokesh. The MLCs pointed to specific administrative failures, including the dual-role appointment of the DSC and SCERT convenor and the deliberate blocking of top-tier outsourcing candidates.
The protest extends beyond the teacher recruitment process to include demands for a wider inquiry into Group-1 hiring. The group also challenged the government’s defense of current policies, citing the recruitment record under former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Furthermore, the MLCs pressed for the immediate annulment of GO 51, arguing that the order facilitates the violation of established tribal rights.
