YSRCP Demands Legislative Probe into DSC Recruitment Allegations

YSRCP lawmakers paralyzed proceedings in the legislative council on Tuesday, mounting a sustained protest against alleged irregularities in the District Selection Committee recruitment process. The opposition is now forcing a direct confrontation, demanding that Education Minister Nara Lokesh appear on the floor to account for the disputed hiring practices.

Legislative Council member Dr. Arun Kumar Monditoka intensified the party's pressure by calling for an independent inquiry into the selection criteria. He rejected the government's previous explanations offered in the State Assembly, noting they were delivered while opposition benches remained empty. Monditoka insists that only a personal appearance by Lokesh can satisfy the demand for transparency regarding the recruitment claims.

Fellow YSRCP MLC Lella Appi Reddy challenged the government's consistency, pointing to the administration's own skepticism toward Group-I recruitment. He argued that if the state recognizes the necessity of a CBI investigation into Group-I procedures, it must apply the same rigorous standard to the DSC. The party’s push follows the summary dismissal of their formal adjournment motion, leaving the legislative floor as the primary venue for their campaign against the recruitment process.
