Sybiha pressed for an immediate end to Iran’s military support for Russia, characterizing the ongoing invasion as an illegal enterprise that destabilizes the region. Tehran’s response, delivered by Araqchi, balanced a diplomatic acknowledgment of Kyiv’s claims that the strike was unintentional with a sharp demand for restitution. The Iranian minister emphasized that any future incursions against their national interests would face a more severe response.
Kyiv maintains that its military operations remain strictly focused on defensive maneuvers against Russian forces, asserting that no civilian infrastructure was targeted during the incident. As the diplomatic fallout continues, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar has signaled alignment with Ukraine, framing the situation as a shared struggle against the security threats emanating from Tehran’s regional influence.
