Uzbek students greet PM Modi in Hindi ahead of Tashkent visit

In the video, several students from the capital city addressed the Prime Minister directly, expressing their admiration for Indian culture and their excitement for his arrival. One student named Samandar and his peers spoke of their efforts to master the Hindi language, framing their message as a personal invitation to the land of Tashkent. This visit marks the fourth time the Indian leader has traveled to Uzbekistan, following previous diplomatic trips in 2015, 2016, and 2022.

Beyond the diplomatic formalities, the Prime Minister’s itinerary includes visits to the Shastri Memorial and the Mahatma Gandhi Centre at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. Discussions with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev are expected to focus on trade, energy, and digital connectivity, building on the strategic partnership that has evolved since 2018. Following his stay in Uzbekistan, the Prime Minister will head to Bishkek to attend the 26th SCO Summit at the invitation of President Sadyr Japarov.
