Principal Secretary Pradeep Kumar Dubey confirmed the revocation in a formal order, citing the proviso to Rule 299 (3)(b) of the assembly’s Rules of Procedure. The suspension, originally handed down on August 4, barred Yadav from the remainder of the session after he repeatedly defied Speaker Satish Mahana’s directives during Question Hour.
Yadav had triggered the disciplinary action by brandishing placards and an image of Ram Lalla toward Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while demanding an immediate floor debate on Ayodhya. Despite Speaker Mahana’s assertion that the chair was open to scheduling a formal discussion, the proceedings collapsed into a standoff between the opposition and the treasury benches.
