Five Killed in Belgorod Drone Strike

A drone strike on Russia’s Belgorod region left five civilians dead, including a minor, marking a sharp escalation in cross-border hostilities. The strike represents another violent chapter for the border province, which has faced near-constant shelling and aerial incursions since the onset of the conflict in 2022. Local authorities reported the casualties via Telegram, underscoring the vulnerability of settlements situated within range of the active front line.

Emergency services continue to operate in the affected areas as officials assess the damage. This incident adds to the mounting toll of civilian casualties in a region that has become a primary flashpoint for retaliatory strikes throughout the ongoing war.
