Rao dismissed the Chief Minister’s rhetoric regarding blood on crops as a calculated distraction from the immediate agricultural crisis. He argued that the administration is using inflammatory language to mask its failure to provide adequate irrigation for the state’s farmers. In his defense of the project’s legacy, Rao invoked the history of Telangana’s formation, contrasting the current administration’s combative tone with the non-violent approach of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
Revanth Reddy, meanwhile, has distanced himself from the accusations of mismanagement. His office maintains that the government has commissioned independent experts to conduct a comprehensive audit of the Kaleshwaram infrastructure. Officials indicated that future policy decisions regarding the project will be determined strictly by the findings of these technical reports, rather than political pressure.
