Adhikari, joined by Finance Minister Swapan Dasgupta, emphasized Mookerjee’s nationalist legacy while noting the significance of his slogan, "One Nation, One Constitution, One Flag, One Leader." According to the leader, the current administration intends to align its governance with these foundational ideals. He highlighted that this specific commemoration marks a historic shift, as the state government, in coordination with the Information and Cultural Affairs Ministry and the Kolkata Corporation, organized the tribute for the first time since Independence.

He asserted that recent public sentiment has served as a decisive response to the administration of Mamata Banerjee, suggesting that the electorate has already delivered its final verdict on the state's leadership.
