Alpha Street advises financial intermediaries on investment strategy and connects them with opportunities sourced through its network, including off-market real estate transactions. It also works with family offices and professional investors pursuing specific deals, particularly in property.
Oculy told finews.com that the introduction of FinIA and FinSA has increased regulatory, operational and investment demands on smaller firms. “That’s precisely where we can add value,” he said.
The firm’s investment work covers equities, derivatives and structured products. It reviews clients’ investment processes and product shelves, supports their development and provides access to banks, brokers and other specialists.
Alpha Street’s most advanced project is a Swiss real estate club deal based on viager, a model in which owners sell property for a lifetime annuity and often retain the right to live there. The firm has 30 properties under exclusive mandate for the planned deal.
Oculy previously worked as an investment manager at Deutsche Bank and headed advisory and discretionary mandates at JAR (Switzerland) in Geneva. Before that, he spent a decade at Société Générale, most recently as head of market solutions for the Swiss market. Earlier, he worked in equities in New York at Merrill Lynch and JH Darbie & Co.
