Patel expressed confidence that the inspection would showcase Gujarat’s readiness and growing sports culture, noting that the government has expedited preparations to secure the 2031 hosting rights.
Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi emphasized that the state is already scaling its capabilities to accommodate major global competitions, including the Commonwealth Games 2030 and the World Police and Fire Games. Key venues under review include the Narendra Modi Stadium, the Sardar Patel Sports Enclave, the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex, and the Karai Academy. The assessment process involves senior officials, including World Athletics Vice President Adille Sumariwalla and the Director General of the Sports Authority of Gujarat, Vala.
