Valérie Noël, a veteran of the Syz Group and HSBC Private Bank, has been tapped to lead the new Abu Dhabi office of Arab Bank Switzerland. Following regulatory clearance from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority, the bank’s regional subsidiary, Arab Bank Switzerland ME Ltd, is now operational. Noël brings over three decades of expertise in wealth management, trading, and digital assets to the role, having previously served as Head of Trading at the Syz Group.

The firm intends to provide institutional clients, fintech companies, and family offices with a comprehensive suite of digital asset services. The Abu Dhabi office will manage custody, administration, and estate planning, leveraging the ADGM regulatory framework to serve its clientele.

This expansion builds on the bank’s established history with blockchain-based finance. In 2019, the institution became the first Swiss private bank authorized by Finma to offer cryptocurrency trading and custody. It has since broadened its portfolio to include staking and lending, positioning its new UAE hub as a primary vehicle for growth in the Gulf region.
