The current election cycle puts all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 Senate spots up for grabs. Among the Democratic incumbents seeking to retain their influence are Ro Khanna in California, Pramila Jayapal in Washington, and Ami Bera in California. Suhas Subramanyam, who made history as the first Indian-American elected to Congress from Virginia, is also pushing for another term. Meanwhile, Republican Vivek Ramaswamy has secured the party's nomination for the Ohio gubernatorial race, backed by a high-profile endorsement from Donald Trump.

Beyond federal legislative roles, the ballot features candidates aiming for executive and legal positions. Saritha Komatireddy is running for New York Attorney General, bringing a background in national security and narcotics prosecution. In California, Nithya Raman is campaigning in the Los Angeles mayoral election, building on her tenure as a city council member. Texas sees candidates like Pooja Sethi and Sandeep Srivastava seeking state legislative seats, while Pia Dandiya and Amish Shah are challenging incumbents in Florida and Arizona, respectively. These campaigns reflect an increasing footprint of Indian-American political participation across both major parties.
