Appalaraju Demands CBI Probe Into DSC Recruitment Allegations

Appalaraju alleged that groups linked to Nara Lokesh attacked YSRCP members who had gathered at the SAAP office with prior police permission. The clash left several party figures, including Devineni Avinash and Gautham Reddy, injured. According to the former minister, police forces present at the scene failed to intervene, opting to remain silent spectators during the violence.

The controversy hinges on claims of a "cash-for-jobs" nexus, where nepotism and bribery allegedly sidelined merit-based recruitment. Appalaraju highlighted that sports associations for Kho-Kho, softball, and judo have reported that selected candidates possessed fraudulent participation certificates. He questioned why the government refuses an independent inquiry if the recruitment process is legitimate. Further, he challenged the removal of top-ranked candidates from revised merit lists, labeling the current administration’s actions as an attempt to suppress dissent.

Rejecting claims that teachers were the primary victims of the recent unrest, Appalaraju accused the government of fabricating narratives to deflect from the recruitment scandal. He demanded the immediate resignation of Nara Lokesh on moral grounds. A delegation led by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy plans to present evidence of the alleged scam and the recent violence to the Governor.
