Appalaraju Demands CBI Probe Into DSC Recruitment Allegations

Appalaraju described the scene as a manifestation of lawlessness, claiming that police stood by while groups linked to Nara Lokesh assaulted peaceful demonstrators, including MLCs Devineni Avinash and Gautham Reddy. The former minister challenged the government's transparency, specifically citing concerns over the removal of top-ranked candidates from merit lists and discrepancies in sports-quota certificates. According to Appalaraju, representatives from Kho-Kho, softball, and judo associations have already alerted SAAP authorities that several selected candidates never participated in the events listed on their credentials.

Rejecting accusations that YSRCP members instigated the violence, Appalaraju labeled the government's narrative a diversionary tactic. He called for Lokesh to resign on moral grounds, citing a "cash-for-jobs" nexus that allegedly prioritizes nepotism over merit. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is scheduled to lead a delegation to the Governor tomorrow to present evidence regarding both the recruitment scandal and the recent physical clashes.
