Telangana BJP Leaders Detained Amid Jurala Project Water Dispute

Before his removal by authorities, Rao maintained that the reservoir holds sufficient capacity to sustain crops, yet officials have withheld supply, effectively positioning the administration against the farming community. Fellow BJP leader Guvvala Balaraju joined the chorus of dissent, labeling the government's response as a deliberate attempt to suppress opposition efforts to console affected growers. Balaraju characterized the detention as a violation of political rights and warned that the Revanth Reddy government would face significant electoral consequences for its handling of the crisis.
