YSRCP demands CBI probe following violent clash at DSC protest

YSRCP State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy accused the TDP-led government of deploying party loyalists to suppress dissent. According to Reddy, police stood by as demonstrators were attacked while attempting to submit a formal representation regarding irregularities in the District Selection Committee recruitment. The opposition alleges that merit was bypassed in favor of candidates holding fraudulent certificates, particularly within the controversial sports quota.

Reddy highlighted that local sports associations have already disavowed the credentials of several recruits, noting that many secured positions without passing the mandatory Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). The party contends that the sudden cancellation of government orders following these appointments confirms a deeper pattern of administrative fraud. While the state government maintains its stance, the YSRCP asserts that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is actively shielding his son from the growing scandal. The ongoing dispute centers on claims of a cash-for-jobs nexus, opaque evaluation methods, and widespread nepotism that have left thousands of legitimate aspirants sidelined.
