Congress leader PC Sharma dismissed the accusations as a tactical distraction born from the BJP’s anxiety over the event's turnout. He asserted that the gathering successfully highlighted critical issues such as student education and employment, drawing in nearly one lakh attendees. According to Sharma, the mimicry was performed by an artist who frequently appears on television and at various public venues, and the BJP’s focus on the performance is a reaction to the political threat posed by the massive student mobilization in Indore.
