KTR accuses Telangana government of 'Dushasana' tactics against women

Rama Rao, known as KTR, slammed the administration of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for what he described as a "criminal mindset" following the confrontation. He specifically denounced the treatment of the two women leaders, who were reportedly dragged and manhandled during recent legislative unrest. According to KTR, the ruling party is using the Speaker as a shield to mask its own incompetence while failing to deliver on key election promises, which he labeled the "biggest fraud of this century."

Beyond the physical altercations, the BRS leader targeted the government’s economic record, questioning the status of the 420 guarantees promised to farmers, women, and youth. He cited the lack of movement on unemployment allowances, job creation, and pending fee reimbursements for students as proof of governance failure. KTR also raised alarms regarding water management, challenging the government to explain why water from the Nagarjuna Sagar Project is not being released to farmers despite sufficient reservoir levels.

Simultaneously, the Congress party has hit back, framing the BRS rhetoric as a reflection of a "Manuvadi" ideology. AICC Secretary Sachin Sawant accused BRS leaders of targeting Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar specifically because of his Dalit identity. As both parties trade accusations of dictatorial conduct and constitutional disrespect, the political tension in Telangana continues to escalate, with KTR vowing to hold the current administration accountable for the remaining 823 days of its tenure.
