Beyond the fields, the administration amended the Punjab Public Service Commission (Group ‘A’) Service Regulations to streamline internal promotions, specifically elevating staff from Personal Assistant to Personal Secretary roles.

Healthcare recruitment also saw a significant shift as the state attempts to fill critical gaps before the next electoral cycle. Officials approved the revival of 33 positions at the Sub-Divisional Hospital in Chamkaur Sahib and authorized 138 new posts for the Civil Surgeon’s Office in Malerkotla and the hospital in Dhuri. The initiative extends to dentistry as well, with 80 Medical Officer (Dental) vacancies slated for immediate recruitment. These staffing efforts follow a period of prolonged personnel shortages within the Aam Aadmi Party’s current mandate.
