Speaking before the Tamil Nadu Assembly, Vijay invoked the historical Sarkaria Commission report to remind legislators of past allegations against former Chief Minister Karunanidhi regarding the abuse of official power. He vowed to dismantle the previous administration’s secrecy, promising to release internal files to ensure public transparency and government accountability.

Beyond fiscal claims, the Chief Minister condemned the aggressive rhetoric used by DMK leadership, specifically targeting derogatory comments aimed at women. To insulate the state's security apparatus from political interference, Vijay announced a comprehensive initiative to digitize the Police Department and increase staffing levels. He argued these reforms are necessary to guarantee the autonomy of law enforcement and restore institutional integrity across the state.
