The Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed that Havas remains in custody at the Mahoning County Jail, where he faces formal charges of assault and disorderly conduct. Although the physical confrontation caused significant alarm among fairgoers, Acton emerged from the incident without injury.

Political leaders from both sides of the aisle issued swift condemnations following the disruption. Both the Acton and Vivek Ramaswamy campaigns characterized the attempt as a dangerous escalation, highlighting the growing security concerns surrounding public political appearances throughout Ohio.
