KTR Challenges Rahul Gandhi to Address Telangana Youth Grievances

BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao has launched a pointed attack against Rahul Gandhi, dismissing the Congress leader’s 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' campaign as disconnected from reality. Rao challenged Gandhi to visit Karimnagar directly, arguing that the party’s national rhetoric fails to address the specific, mounting frustrations of Telangana’s student population.

Rao accused the Congress leadership, including Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, of abandoning campaign promises and ignoring the state’s youth. During his address in Karimnagar, he framed the current political climate as a direct parallel to the tensions of 2006, warning the administration that ignoring public sentiment could trigger a severe electoral backlash. He explicitly rejected opposition calls for B. Chandrashekar Rao’s resignation, instead pivoting to demand accountability for the government's unfulfilled pledges.

The BRS leader warned that the Congress government faces an impending reckoning if it continues to sideline the needs of the electorate. By invoking the history of political upheaval in the region, Rao signaled that his party intends to leverage these grievances to undermine the current administration’s legitimacy, framing the government’s tenure as one defined by broken commitments and administrative neglect.
