NV Subhash, the BJP’s chief spokesperson, dismissed the Chief Minister’s assertion as an unacceptable comparison of ideologically opposed figures. Subhash accused Reddy of political opportunism, suggesting the sudden praise is a strategic attempt to secure votes ahead of the upcoming municipal corporation elections. He further alleged that the Chief Minister has maintained questionable associations in London, contrasting his current rhetoric with his past criticisms of the AIMIM leadership.
Reddy defended his position by emphasizing his responsibility as Chief Minister, arguing that political rivalry should not overshadow national allegiance. He insisted that the Owaisi brothers remain steadfast in protecting the country. Asaduddin Owaisi reciprocated the sentiment during the event, clarifying that his party’s support for the current state administration is rooted specifically in personal trust for Reddy rather than an alignment with the Congress party. This deepening rapport has drawn sharp condemnation from the BJP, which continues to characterize the relationship as an unholy alliance.
