Punjab Congress Chief Demands SSP Suspension Over Alleged Protest Assault

Addressing reporters, Warring questioned the democratic standards of the current administration, asking if expressing political dissent through a black flag warrants such violent retribution. Warring further claimed that the crowds appearing at CM Mann’s public events are frequently bolstered by plainclothes police officers rather than genuine supporters. Beyond the demand for the SSP’s suspension, the Congress party has formally requested that the officers involved in the assault face immediate dismissal and criminal prosecution. The party is now seeking formal accountability from the state’s police administration regarding the conduct of its personnel.
