Congress MLA Rathore Alleges Financial Misconduct in Ram Temple Trust

“This clearly shows that the government accepted, indirectly, that there was misuse of temple donations,” asserted Congress MLA Kuldeep Singh Rathore on Thursday. Speaking in Shimla, the AICC spokesperson claimed the recent removal of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust members was a reactive move to suppress public outrage.

Rathore argued that the Centre’s decision to replace the trust’s leadership serves as a tacit admission of corruption, despite the government previously clearing the former CEO and trustees of any wrongdoing. He emphasized that the controversy strikes at the heart of public faith, as millions of devotees contributed to the project under the expectation of strict transparency. While remaining cautious about the new management, Rathore expressed a slim hope that the appointment of former Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra as CEO might bring much-needed order to the institution.

Beyond the temple trust, the Congress leader launched a broadside against the Centre’s economic record, dismissing official statistics as inflated propaganda designed to mask a deteriorating financial reality. He specifically pointed to the rising cost of essential commodities and the failure of the government’s ethanol-blending policy to lower fuel prices for consumers. According to Rathore, the diversion of sugarcane for ethanol has only served to spike sugar prices, further burdening families during the festival season. He characterized these policies as a calculated effort to favor corporate interests at the expense of ordinary citizens, ultimately accusing the administration of lacking any coherent economic strategy.
