Congress MLA Kuldeep Rathore Challenges Centre on Temple Trust and Economy

“The government indirectly admitted to the misuse of donations by removing trust members after initially granting them a clean chit,” said Congress MLA Kuldeep Singh Rathore. Speaking in Shimla, the AICC spokesperson accused the Centre of mismanaging the Ram Temple Trust while simultaneously obscuring the country’s true economic state.

Rathore argued that the removal of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust members was a reactive damage-control move following public outcry over alleged financial irregularities. He suggested that the prior exoneration of the former CEO and trustees, followed by their subsequent dismissal, highlights a lack of accountability in managing funds contributed by devotees. While he remains cautious regarding the new leadership, he expressed a measured hope that the appointment of former Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra as CEO might bring much-needed discipline to the organization.

Beyond the temple trust, Rathore launched a broader critique of the Centre’s economic record, dismissing official government figures as exaggerated efforts to distract from systemic failures. He pointed to the rising cost of essential commodities and the failure of the E20 ethanol-blending policy to lower fuel prices as evidence of the government's mismanagement. According to the MLA, the administration is prioritizing the interests of "capitalist friends" over ordinary citizens, leaving the public to struggle with inflation during the critical festival season.
