Trump Claims Total Surveillance Over Iran Amid Escalating Gulf Conflict

Boasting of near-total intelligence coverage, President Donald Trump declared that US forces monitor every move within Iran, including the minutiae of daily life. This assertion follows a violent exchange that left 18 dead, as the US intensifies its efforts to secure the strategic Strait of Hormuz from Iranian interference.

Trump Claims Total Surveillance Over Iran Amid Escalating Gulf Conflict

Addressing reporters from the Oval Office, Trump described the latest US strikes against Iranian targets near the Strait of Hormuz as a decisive blow to Tehran’s military infrastructure. He claimed the operation successfully dismantled a specialized rocket system designed to deploy naval mines, asserting that American surveillance capabilities allowed them to track the project from its inception. The President emphasized that the US now maintains firm control over the vital shipping lane, enabling the daily passage of millions of barrels of oil with minimal disruption.

The military engagement resulted in at least 18 deaths and 108 injuries, with reports indicating that US strikes hit areas along Iran’s southern coast, including a wedding party in Kuhestak. In retaliation, Tehran launched a series of drone and missile attacks against US military installations across Kuwait, Jordan, the UAE, Bahrain, and Iraq’s Kurdistan region. Iranian security chief Mohsen Rezaei characterized these strikes as part of a new strategic approach intended to shatter American foundations. Despite the cycle of violence, Trump expressed confidence that the current flare-up would be short-lived, even as he reiterated Washington's readiness for further offensive operations.
