Akhilesh Yadav questions integrity of Ayodhya temple management

His remarks followed the appointment of a new CEO and three trustees amidst ongoing scrutiny of the temple's governance.

Yadav targeted the BJP, suggesting that the recent investigative probes into the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust have undermined public confidence. He pointed to inconsistencies in legal accountability, noting that despite FIRs and arrests following SIT investigations, several individuals were later cleared of wrongdoing. The SP leader emphasized that while the government holds the authority to appoint officials, the institution faces a profound challenge in restoring its credibility among the faithful.

The Trust announced the appointment of retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra as its first CEO during a meeting held at Shri Maniramdas Chhawni in Ayodhya. Joining him as new trustees are Mahesh Bhagchandka, Madan Mohan Pandey, and Dr. Nirmala Yadav. Interim general secretary Krishna Mohan confirmed these shifts, which come as the organization attempts to stabilize its administrative structure following the recent controversies.
