BRS targets Telangana government over 1,000-day performance

The opposition party’s document alleges that the current administration failed to deliver on 420 distinct election promises, including key guarantees regarding loan waivers, agricultural subsidies, and job creation. BRS leaders specifically pointed to a shortfall in the promised 2 lakh jobs and accused the government of neglecting the education sector, citing over 12,000 crore rupees in pending fee reimbursement arrears. Beyond economic claims, the party criticized the handling of the Gurukul system and the alleged erosion of the state’s water rights concerning the Krishna and Godavari rivers.

In response, the ruling Congress party maintains that its governance has fostered significant development. Motha Rohit, a spokesperson for the Revanth Reddy-led administration, defended the government’s track record by pointing to the recent inauguration of the Moosarambagh flyover in Amberpet. He dismissed the opposition's claims, arguing that the current leadership has achieved in three years what would otherwise require a millennium of effort. While the BRS highlights a state debt of 4.5 lakh crore rupees, the Congress continues to celebrate its milestone, framing the administration as a catalyst for state progress.
