Sailen Sonowal takes on the role of adviser for the committee, while Polly Hazarika will lead the body as chairman. Pratim Sonowal has been designated as the primary coordinator, supported by joint coordinators Pranjal Saikia and Shiba Baruah. The remaining 45 members provide a geographically diverse base, drawing representation from Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Dhemaji, Jorhat, Golaghat, Sivasagar, and Lakhimpur.

This strategic pivot marks a direct effort by the Congress to deepen its influence within the Sonowal Kachari community. By formalizing this leadership structure, the party aims to streamline communication between local cadres and state-level command to secure a competitive advantage in the approaching polls.
