MNS workers gather at Shivtirth as Amit Thackeray faces FIR

The confrontation centers on an event at the Government Polytechnic in Pune, where Amit Thackeray and a group of party workers allegedly entered the college office without permission. According to an FIR filed at the Chatushringi Police Station, the group removed a photograph of the Prime Minister, claiming it was improperly displayed at the same level as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Dr. Rajendra Kashiram Patil, the complainant, stated that the group created a disturbance and threatened staff members during the incident.

MNS leaders remained defiant in the face of the investigation. Mahindra Bhanushali defended the action as a matter of protocol, arguing that no political figure should be placed on par with Shivaji Maharaj. Meanwhile, Avinash Jadhav issued a sharp warning to the BJP Yuva Morcha, suggesting that any attempt to protest at the Thackeray residence would be met with force. While BJP activists had reportedly planned a demonstration, the site remained quiet as police initiated proceedings against Thackeray and roughly 25 unidentified individuals under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Maharashtra Police Act.
