Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Pendra Veeranna, a prominent community leader, highlighted that the previous YSRCP government provided a dedicated corporation for nomadic groups, facilitating access to housing and social benefits for thousands of families. He criticized the current coalition for failing to even appoint a governing body for this corporation, effectively sidelining these historically marginalized groups. Veeranna demanded the implementation of separate reservations for the 32 nomadic communities within the BC-A category, arguing that existing quotas are currently monopolized by more influential social segments.

The disillusionment extends to employment prospects for the younger generation. Despite attaining advanced degrees in engineering, graduates from communities such as the Gangireddula, Budabukkala, and Picchiguntla remain largely excluded from the workforce. To address these grievances, the communities plan to form district-level committees aimed at restoring the YSRCP to power. Party figures, including MLC Lella Appi Reddy and former MLA TJR Sudhakar Babu, pledged their support for this initiative, framing the movement as a necessary defense of the social justice framework established during the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy administration.
