Milo Yiannopoulos Deported Following Immigration Violation

Federal agents apprehended British commentator Milo Yiannopoulos at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport last Friday, ending his unauthorized stay in the United States. A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson confirmed the 41-year-old was returned to the United Kingdom after failing to appear for a mandatory immigration hearing.

Yiannopoulos entered the country legally in May 2019 but remained past his permitted duration, triggering a final removal order issued on July 22. His arrest occurred shortly before a scheduled appearance in New Orleans alongside the musician Ye, formerly known as Kanye West.

The commentator, who previously campaigned for aggressive immigration enforcement and widespread deportations, had frequently advocated for stricter border controls and the implementation of ICE checkpoints. Despite his vocal support for such policies during the 2016 election cycle, he became the target of the very system he championed. Records indicate he did not contest his removal status through the required legal channels prior to his detention.
