BJP MLA Accuses Revanth Reddy of Protocol Failures in US Trip Denial

Babu, speaking to ANI, dismissed the Chief Minister’s claims that the rejection was politically motivated. He argued that the state government failed to furnish required details to the Ministry of External Affairs in a timely manner. According to the MLA, the Chief Minister’s office neglected the standard procedures expected of a state representative traveling abroad. These lapses, he suggested, forced the Centre to withhold approval.

The dispute centers on allegations that Reddy intended to engage with individuals deemed hostile to national interests. Babu claimed the Chief Minister planned meetings with anti-Indian elements in New York without prior intimation to the ministry. This follows Reddy’s public demand for an explanation from the Prime Minister, in which he alleged the Centre blocked the visit out of fear that Telangana would outperform Gujarat in securing foreign capital. Reddy remains adamant that his team provided comprehensive documentation, characterizing the denial as a direct obstruction of the state’s economic development.
