Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, alongside Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar, chaired the session to formalize the electoral strategy. The committee intends to meet every two months to maintain cohesion and track the delivery of promises made to the electorate. By consolidating their forces, the alliance aims to leverage the influence of its double-engine government model at both the state and central levels.
Bawankule dismissed suggestions of instability within the coalition, attributing such narratives to an opposition fearful of the current leadership. The BJP maintains a strong track record in local contests, notably securing 119 out of 165 seats in Pune during the January elections—a region historically dominated by the Pawar family. This commitment to a joint ticket signals a concerted effort to replicate these results in the municipal and panchayat arenas, preempting potential disputes before the campaign cycle intensifies.
