Karnataka BJP stages massive protest to demand Minister Nagendra's exit

Opposition leader R Ashoka spearheaded the mobilization, claiming the funds were looted from the state treasury to finance political operations in Karnataka and Telangana. Rejecting claims that the agitation is politically motivated, Ashoka insisted the focus remains strictly on the missing public money. He argued that the ruling government’s own counter-protests serve as an admission of guilt, suggesting that a transparent administration would not feel compelled to suppress public dissent.

The protest marks the culmination of a week-long series of day-and-night agitations held across state districts. Supported by the JD(S) alliance, party leadership expects the march to force a formal response from the government regarding the missing funds. State BJP president B.Y. Vijayendra is scheduled to join the ranks as the coalition attempts to escalate pressure on the secretariat to ensure the minister's immediate resignation.
