Drone Strikes Intensify as Civilian Casualties Mount

Eight civilians died in Russian territories following a series of Ukrainian drone strikes targeting industrial hubs and logistics centers. These losses arrive in the wake of a devastating Russian assault on a Ukrainian shopping center that claimed 16 lives, marking a sharp escalation in the air war across the border.

The strikes hit an Ozon warehouse and an industrial facility in the Samara region, signaling a shift toward targeting economic infrastructure. In the southern Krasnodar region, an attack on the port town of Yeysk resulted in three additional deaths, including two children. Military officials in Kyiv have confirmed these operations aim to disrupt refineries and supply chains essential to the ongoing Russian war effort.

This cycle of retaliation follows a deadly Russian drone campaign against civilian areas in Ukraine, where a shopping center attack left over 130 people injured. As both sides prioritize the destruction of logistics and economic assets, the human toll continues to rise, leaving non-combatants increasingly vulnerable to the intensifying aerial bombardment.
