Sanjay Seth Challenges Jharkhand Over Blacklisted Contractor Ties

Union Minister of State Sanjay Seth has accused the Jharkhand government of systemic misconduct by awarding public contracts to firms previously blacklisted in other states. The BJP parliamentarian pointed to a recurring pattern of irregularities, specifically citing the involvement of companies tainted by past professional failures in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Seth singled out TSR Data Processing Private Limited, a firm barred by the Uttar Pradesh government, as a primary example of questionable procurement practices. He also identified Vidyamandir Classes and Inter Connected Network Pvt Ltd, both of which faced blacklisting in Bihar in 2019, as current partners of the Jharkhand administration. The MP argued that these appointments demand immediate public accountability, particularly following the cancellation of the JSSC-CGL and JPSC examinations.

The lawmaker framed these administrative lapses against the backdrop of recent student protests, which he described as peaceful and devoid of political opportunism. While criticizing the state's governance, Seth drew a sharp contrast with the situation in Kashmir. He credited the region’s current stability and international recognition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies, citing positive feedback from visiting American diplomats as evidence of progress.
