Although the United States is not a signatory to the Rome Statute that established the tribunal, it has increasingly utilized financial and travel restrictions to pressure court staff. The ICC emphasized its commitment to its mandate, asserting that it stands firmly behind its judges and the victims of the crimes it seeks to prosecute.
