Kiren Rijiju Accuses Rahul Gandhi of Orchestrating Parliamentary Chaos

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju leveled sharp criticism at Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday, alleging the Leader of Opposition has eroded the integrity of the Monsoon Session. Rijiju claims that constant disruptions led by Congress members have effectively paralyzed the legislative process and prevented any substantive debate on national issues.

Behind the scenes, Rijiju stated that several Congress MPs approached him personally to seek a resolution to the ongoing stalemate. He suggested these members expressed frustration, noting that Gandhi has failed to uphold the decorum required of his high-ranking role. According to the minister, the frequent washouts of parliamentary business are not accidental but are driven by a calculated strategy of disorder favored by the opposition leadership.

The friction stems from Congress demands for a formal statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding police conduct during recent protests. Rijiju rejected these demands as a diversionary tactic, arguing the party is actively evading the legislative agenda. He further contended that Gandhi’s recent public rhetoric regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi has failed to gain traction, instead damaging the opposition leader's own political standing.
