YSRCP Demands Accountability Over Andhra Pradesh DSC Recruitment

Conflict has erupted in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council as YSRCP MLC Lella Appi Reddy demands an immediate investigation into alleged recruitment irregularities within the District Selection Committee. Reddy is pushing for Education Minister Nara Lokesh to address the assembly, alleging that the current hiring process is rife with systemic corruption.

Reddy, speaking from the party’s central office, condemned the government’s refusal to accept an adjournment motion aimed at debating the DSC crisis. He drew parallels between the DSC controversy and ongoing issues in Group-I recruitment, arguing that if the administration suspects foul play elsewhere, a CBI probe into the DSC is the only logical path to transparency.

The MLC highlighted specific procedural failures, including the administration of DSC exams in the absence of a designated convenor. Beyond oversight gaps, he cited questionable appointments within the State Council of Educational Research and Training and potential manipulation of the sports quota. Amidst claims of cash-for-jobs schemes, Reddy is now calling for the resignation of Nara Lokesh, asserting that the minister must be held directly responsible for the integrity of the recruitment framework.
