Ram Gopal Yadav Accuses BJP of Using RSS as Political Shield

The criticism follows Bhagwat’s recent appearance at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai, where he held a session for Gen Z and Gen Alpha participants. Yadav dismissed the event as a tactical response to the government’s inability to connect with younger voters, suggesting that the BJP relies on the RSS to navigate crises that threaten its public standing.

Beyond party politics, Yadav attacked the legislative agenda, specifically targeting the Taxation and Other Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026. He argued that the bill, recently passed by voice vote in the Lok Sabha, prioritizes fiscal extraction over public welfare. While the government maintains the legislation aims to stimulate manufacturing and provide tax certainty by replacing the 2026 ordinance, Yadav characterized such laws as mechanisms designed solely to redistribute revenue as political freebies. The bill, introduced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, cleared the floor amid significant opposition protests regarding police conduct during July 20 demonstrations.
