The brothers, residing in the United Kingdom, claim their repeated attempts to travel to Pakistan for a visit have been thwarted by administrative obstacles and stalled visa renewals. According to Kasim and Sulaiman, these bureaucratic delays intensify whenever they raise public awareness about their father's imprisonment. The family remains deeply skeptical of official silence, fearing that the lack of independent medical evaluations masks a significant decline in Khan’s health.

Khan has been incarcerated since 2023 following convictions on charges ranging from graft to the disclosure of official secrets. While the government maintains these are standard legal proceedings, Khan and his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party contend the trials are politically motivated attempts to neutralize his influence. Amnesty International has since joined the outcry, calling on authorities to immediately end his solitary confinement and restore his access to legal and medical support.
