The onslaught began at 8:30 a.m. and persisted until 10 p.m., according to the mayor's update on Telegram. While the majority of the incoming craft were neutralized at a significant distance from the urban center, officials reported that 18 drones were intercepted specifically on their final approach to the capital.

Although the city’s defensive perimeter typically prevents large-scale penetration, the persistent scale of these raids highlights a shift in the reach of such technology.
